Gallery B Comes to ArtStart!
The Distance Between
Friday, March 1st at Gallery B
Opening Reception 6pm to 8pm
For The Distance Between, Nathanael Flink paints and also creates sculptural installations out of scavenged materials, foam, wood, cardboard, cloth, items of furniture, and components he manufactures, that reveal aspects of personal relationships of various dimensions. He works with evocative combinations of textures, colors and surfaces. With sculpture, he gathers a mish-mash of scrap material, reformulating it into a personal vocabulary that is descriptive of an intuitive aesthetic, along with new discoveries. This becomes a means to cope, explore difficulties, and remove blockages of mysteries relating to people and places that are inhabited within the past or contemporary experience.
Nathanael is a native of St Paul and we are thrilled to have him showing!
The opening reception is this Friday, March 1st from 6pm to 8pm at Gallery B. Drinks will be available, with a suggested donation of $3. See you then!
