      ArtStart’s Art and Creatvity Camps for Teens are geared for youth who want to explore their imagination through a variety of art media and gain new skills in making art. Designed to inspire creativity, these classes encourage you to think outside of the box, see people and things with new eyes, and explore a variety of ideas and media through the arts.

    • Camp Wabasha Takes Flight

      August 19 - 23, 2013
      Camp Wabasha is a collaboration between ArtStart, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and SteppingStone Theatre. Set your sights in the sky with science, art and theater. Explore flight as you make flying machines. Examine the variety of aerial animals in the exhibit halls of the museum. Create masks and sculptures inspired by the world above us - from atmosphere to outer space. Produce a play that explores the sounds and sights of the sky.

      ArtStart artists have had a wonderful opportunity to pilot a year-long program with adults with developmental disabilities using nature as the inspiration for artmaking in a program entitled “ArtLife”, an activity made possible in part by a grant provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature from the State’s arts and cultural heritage fund with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
